Peter McBride Director of Finance
Though professionally trained as an accountant, I believe my years of experience have taught me that success doesn't come from "numbers," but from people. Financial success is a by-product of successful people.
I have always been interested in trying to understand what makes an opportunity an ultimate success and why it is often so difficult to differentiate the good from the bad from the truly ugly. Is it the people involved that make a concept a success or the concept itself?
As you can see from the above, I'm the kind of person who can sit in a corner and think for hours about how many angels can dance on the head of a pin.
Interesting Positions I've Held:
- Owned and operated an accounting and consulting practice that provided services and expertise to owner/managed businesses.
- General Manager for one of Canada's largest trucking firms.
- Responsible for a wide variety of special projects and ventures for a highly successful internet publishing company.
What I Do On Weekends:
- "Old Timer" hockey
- Cruising thrift stores and junk shops for first edition books I can buy for a fraction of their value.
